"The total SEND tribunal appeals lodged between January 2019 and September 2024 is 203. Of those appeals that went to tribunal, 7 were dismissed in the local authorities favour." SEND provision spend by financial year: 2019/2020 £26,338,527 through 2023/2024 £39,405,495 (2024/2025 to 31/10/24: £28,482,371). Legal costs: "SEND Officers/Managers within the SEND Team prepare/respond to appeals to the tribunal and attend hearings as it is part of their job role, so there are no legal fees incurred. They do not record the number of hours taken on each tribunal so are unable to provide a cost."
